Experienced racecourse manager Michael Wood has been promoted to General Manager of ATC Racecourses, working with tracks teams across Sydney’s four courses.
Currently, Royal Randwick Racecourse Manager and with 23 years experience in the turf and racing industry, Mr Wood will work with each of the ATC’s track managers and report directly to Head of Racing and Wagering, Nevesh Ramdhani.
Mr Wood first worked in racing for the AJC at Warwick Farm in 2006 and returned to the ATC in 2013.
He has held senior roles at Canterbury Park and Royal Randwick before being promoted to Royal Randwick Racecourse Manager in August 2019.
Mr Ramdhani said: “Michael has a wealth of experience and knowledge around racing and track management, and we are delighted to extend his role.
“Michael is well respected by his colleagues and the industry and he will work closely with all of the teams at ATC’s four racecourses and five tracks to continue to deliver Sydney’s world-class racing."
Mr Wood said: “I am excited to with the teams at all of our racecourses as we work together to deliver racing and training 52 weeks a year."
Mr Wood’s appointment is effective immediately.
